What is SpicyChat?
SpicyChat is an unfiltered roleplay chat from NextDay AI. You pick a character — or write one — then talk with a persona attached to you. The homepage says chat without limits. The actual plan names are more useful: Get a Taste, True Supporter, and I’m All In.
This review is for readers comparing SpicyChat with CrushOn and Character.AI. NextDay publishes the rungs. Confirm spicychat.ai/subscribe before you pay; annual billing is usually a little cheaper.
What SpicyChat actually is
It is a character grid with the filter off, and with personas as a first-class object. You are not only chatting as yourself. You can hold several personas and switch them. NextDay’s own docs map the plans with unusual honesty:
- Get a Taste ($5) — 4K context, up to 10 personas. No conversation images. No voice.
- True Supporter ($14.95) — 8K context, Semantic Memory 2.0, conversation images, 50 personas, advanced models.
- I’m All In ($24.95) — 16K context, images for every character, text-to-speech, 100 personas, SpicyXL and the rest of the premium models.
Free still lets you talk. It queues at peak hours and it does not get Semantic Memory 2.0. The age gate is 18+. NextDay lists offices in Montreal, Delaware, and Limassol on the footer — three companies, one app.
Who it is for
SpicyChat fits someone who wanted CrushOn’s lack of filter with a cleaner price card and a named memory tier. Character.AI remains the better library if the filter is acceptable. Kindroid remains the better private companion. Candy remains the better shorts feed.
Where SpicyChat falls short
Free got tighter. True Supporter at $14.95 is not cheap next to c.ai+ at $10. Voice and the largest memory sit on the $25 rung. It is a web roleplay app, not a native Rep with AR.
