How we score AI tools
XXXFuel is a desk, not a marketplace. We open the product — the girlfriend who answers at 1am, the image model, the chatbot — then we write a score we can defend. Affiliate links pay the lights. They never buy the rank.
We score the companion you can open tonight: the paywall, the memory, the nudes. Not the one in the trailer.

The number on the card
The score is not a crowd. One editor uses the product and writes the number. We score what ships today — not the roadmap, not a Discord rumor, not the “uncensored” sticker on the hero.
5.0 Best in class. A free or trial path that actually works, and a product we would send a friend to without a warning. We have not handed one out in 2026.
4.5–4.9 Strong. We use it. Something is missing: memory that dies, a vicious credit meter, a filter that still nannies you mid-sentence.
4.0–4.4 Listed so you can compare. The core job works. The romance, the video, or the price is the caveat.
< 4.0 Broken flow, bait-and-switch, or a claim we cannot verify. We would rather leave a hole in the grid than inflate a 3.2.
Most of the directory sits in the 4s on purpose. We do not list junk, and we do not hand out tens. A 4.6 is as hot as this desk has gotten.
What we actually open
Not the landing page. The product. For an AI girlfriend that means the chat, the body, and the till. For everything else, the same rule: the job the category promised.
The gate
Age wall, email, Discord, credit card before a single message. If “free” needs a Visa, the listing says so.
The chat
Does she remember the fight. Does a filter tap you on the shoulder. Is the voice a toy or a call you would actually take.
The body
Photos, video, live cam, clothes-off claims. We check whether the gallery is the product or a stock folder glued to a chatbot.
The till
Starting price, weekly traps, credit packs, refunds if they publish them. In-app coins get named. A pretty free tier that dies in ten messages is not free.
Whatever the category promised besides that — memory length, character controls, API, mobile — we tick only if the live product matches the claim.
How a category is ordered
On a category page, tools marked featured can sit on top. Then editor score. Then name. Featured is an editor flag, not a paid slot. A commission does not move a row. If two companions are tied, the one we would actually keep open overnight wins the write-up, not the grid math.
Weights we actually use
This is judgment, not a spreadsheet that pretends to be science. If a girlfriend cannot hold a thread, the pretty gallery does not save her.
Coding, writing, and image tools get the same skeleton: core job, honesty, leftover. The girlfriend-specific rows (body, memory) collapse into whatever that category actually sells.
Last updated, not published once
Every review shows the day an editor last opened the product or the public pricing page. A material change — new paywall, killed free tier, a filter that appeared overnight — gets a line in the update log on the same page. The date moves when we reopen it, not when the page first shipped.
Money
Some Try buttons are affiliate links. We label those as sponsored. A commission does not change the editor score, the category rank, or whether a tool is listed. We do not sell homepage slots. If a vendor wants a listing taken down, they write us — they do not write a cheque for silence.
What we will not write
- User counts we did not count.
- Search-volume numbers from a keyword tool.
- “Millions of girls” copied off a press page we did not open.
- A 5.0 because the vendor was nice on email.
If a number cannot be sourced from the live product or an official page, it does not ship.
Who writes this
Copy goes out under XXXFuel Editors. Feature cards, spec sheets, and this page come from the same desk. No ghost bylines from the vendor.
Can a vendor buy a higher score?
No. Affiliate links can pay the desk. They do not move the editor score, the category order, or whether a tool is listed.
Why are most scores in the 4s?
We do not list junk, and we do not hand out 5.0s. A 4.6 is as hot as this desk has gotten in 2026.
Do you actually open NSFW products?
Yes. For companions that is the product: chat, memory, photos, video, the paywall. We score what we can use, not the trailer.
How do I get a tool listed?
Submit it. An editor still has to open it. There is no paid homepage slot.
